Congrats on the new bike, you won't regret it. I bought mine almost 3 years ago and it is very therapeutic. If you guys are down to go riding let me know. I typically ride west and northwest of Houston. I love going out to Carlos and Plantersville...

too cold? haha thats what layers are for! i rode on the freeway the night i picked it up but since then it's stayed under 45 which isn't bad at all in 50* weather. and it rides great, low center of gravity so its super stable at low speeds. throttle is incredibly responsive even at low rpm(duh harley). being new to the bike i was able to hop on it and with in five minutes or so was completely comfortable with the controls. couldn't be happier with it.

Its cool when it works out that way. I felt the same way about my bike. I bought it sight unseen from Jersey, but I had been saving up for about 2-3 years so I could afford it. Patience saved me about $16k. I am down for tech ride or anytime, lets do it.

BUT if not(and more likely), we'll set something up after new years once all the holiday hooplah has died down. i'll start a thread around x-mas to see how many riders there are and who can attend. and we'll go from there.

^^ lol, definatly not true, the straight shots are just as good as all the 2 into 1's, because underneath the black covers they have a crossover. Mine are baffle-less and sound AMAZING, while also making awesome power. I am, however, running super rich (shoots fire at night) do to not being tuned nor having a heavy breather.
I wanted a springer seat but didnt want to cough up the dough. So i bought the 48 seat for $50 bucks brand new. At first i was bummed because it was REALLY hard, but after about 200 miles it softened up alot and now i love it.
I also love eating my buddies 06 636 ALIVE from a dig, however he flies past at about 140 lol
i havent lost an 1/8th mile race yet, and i didnt even buy the bike to race.

It's been proven time & time again on the dyno by the guys in the V-Twin Forum that straight pipes sacrifice torque for sound. Many guys in that forum know more about Harley's than you & me combined, so even though you think it's humorous it's true.
