Wild Card Weekend

Cincinnati @ Houston
Detroit @ New Orleans
Atlanta @ New York
Pittsburgh @ Denver

My picks are

Texans - I really think the Texans can pull this one off. The running game will dominate.

Saints - I hate Saints fans more than any kind of sports fans out there, but they do have an excellent team. The Lions dont have what it takes to knock them out of the playoffs.

Giants - Manning has put on some amazing performances this season, and the Defense is no joke either.

Steelers - Why the NFL put the Steelers up againt the Broncos instead of Texans I have no idea. But this should be a blowout game.

What are your picks?

Houston - it would be cool for them to advance into the second rd.
I thk cinci's AJ Greene will give the secondary a tough time.

Saints - too explosive and lions d will have no answer.

Giants - I'm 50/50 on this match-up but nyg defense is much better.

Steelers - tebow is improving but with his inexperience and playing one of the top defenses it should be over by the third qtr.

I agree with the picks and the reasoning, but I would love to see Tebow find a way to take out the Steelers.........I can't root against that guy.

I think Cincy has a shot against Houston. They lost in the last two seconds earlier in the season. The game is in Houston though so things might turn out different.

True it was a good game.. But Reliant will be hella loud.. I even read that Vegas has odds that Cincy gets at least two delay of game calls.

If the Texans get to round two, that would be sweet. But I would just be happy if they put up a fight and make it a good game...

I hope Kareem Jackson doesn't ruin the game for us.

I'm worried that with all of our players keep getting hurt we may be struggling....

Reliant will be insane though, you can count on that!

All notes to Gary Kubiak.

A. Bench Kareem Jackson. Start Jason Allen.
B. Let Yates throw the ball.
C. When you're in a 3rd and 9 situation. Don't call a quick out pass for a 1-2 yard gain. This **** never works.
D. When you're in a 2nd and 15-20, don't ******* "run it up the middle".
E. Don't try to "run the clock out" with 2 quarters to play because you have a whopping 7-10 point lead.
F. Learn from teams like GB, NE, and NO. Their games meant nothing Sunday (just like ours) and they all put 40+ points on the board. Winning brings on more winning and it provides positive momentum going into the playoffs.
G. Pull your head out of your ***.

No worries. Kubiak is an offensive genius.
He will shred the Baltimore defense for 7 points on the opening drive then he will run the clock out for 3.65 quarters to win 7-6.

I'm a Texans fan, but you guys have too much faith in the Texans. I can see them choke the first game, based on how the last three games were played. This is currently not the same team that was winning the rest of the season. They will show up in the loud stadium overconfident, and let Kareem Jackson get burned on at least two key plays which result in scoring drives. Yates will throw two picks and get benched in the 3rd Qtr.

I mean come on, this is Houston football. We cannot win!

I think we have a great chance against Cinci. After that, I don't have a whole lot of confidence, but I sure as hell want them to win.

Cincinnati

If Matt Schaub wasn't injured it would be a different story.

New Orleans

Detroit makes too many mistakes and no one can beat Brees at home.

Atlanta

New York won't show up.

Pittsburgh

Lock pick.

We recently lost to the two worst teams in the NFL, with Carolina and Indy. The game before that, we only beat Cinci in the last 10 seconds of the game.

"great" chance is being a bit optimistic, IMHO. It was a good match up 3 weeks ago with them, with our current broken roster.

You are entitled to your opinion, but please refer to Week 14. Texans beat Cinci in Cinci with no Schaub and no Andre Johnson.

Cinci's starters will be coming into Houston with only 5 days of rest. Our starters played for a few minutes Sunday. Some didn't play at all.
