Default Chemical Plant Work

So ive been hearing theres going to be a lot of hiring starting mid january so i went to get my twic card in hope of getting a job there. I know there are quite a few people on here that work at the plants, maybe someone can give me a lead or help get me in im young and ready to get my *** to work and build my car. Kinda of funny but who ever can get me can have half of my first check. Also what position should i be looking to get as far as best paying /im willing to work 7/12 hour shifts any help or leads will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would take whatever position you can to get in. Consider it a stepping stone. Scaffold builders are pretty entry level. Have you contacted certified in deer park? I believe they staff alot of BP facilities.

Definately get your name and resume into Certified, Manpower, Johnson Recruiting, etc. Thats a start. Just keep your eyes and ears peeled, and talk to anyone you run into thats wearing coveralls..........

Its gona be hard to get in with no experience and with no references. Best bet is a scafffold builder helper or like a sandblaster/painter. I didnt work for the past month but just got the call starting a job wednesday. Try BRAND, BROCK, INDUSTRIAL GUNITE, TURNER. EASIEST companies to get in.

Mundy is the contractor at my plant. They are always hiring. One of the big turn a round contractors should get the bid to rebuild our Coker unit that was melted down a few weeks ago.. That will be at least a year to 2 years worth of work.

To work as a cook or what? Unless you have experience or went to school you're most likely not going to get on. There's to many people ahead of you with experience and education in the field to leap over. You can try but you need to have a back up if you need money bad enough. Good luck

Try these places
Kindermorgan
Baytank
Petro United

Those companies mentioned above are some of the hardest to get into lol. Ive tried before with experience in plant work. Its a clan thing 95% of the places u go to or just pure luck...
