Dave, sorry I didn't make it out today. I think next month I'm going to try and make it out with the boy. He's only 19 months old, but he loves car, so I think that he'd have a blast. Only problem is that it will be in the wife's Flex, so not a whole lot of fun there. Looking forward to next month.

We sure did hear everyone leaving today though from the house.

No worries bud, great show as usual. I know what you mean as my 4 year old boy loves to come with daddy to the shows. Has his racing seat in the back seat and always has a blast.

My wife told me today that she'd like to come to the next one as well. I was kinda taken back by that, so we'll see if she gets up that early. Her weekends are her time to sleep in and rest, so that will be an awesome thing if she does. Now I'm really looking forward to it

Pretty cool meet, sucks I didn't get a chance to talk to you more Dave. Was curious what Lloyd said on the valve spring combo and the hydrarev.

LE said he would like to set the springs a little tighter to get the seat pressure up to 150+ but they will work. Prob need new pushrods since I'm looking at milling the heads. Also, he said to just keep the Hydra rev as it won't hurt anything and I'll have to figure out what I'm gonna do if I go this route. I'm only looking at around 430ish (at the wheels) when I'm done so I don't think it's really worth it as I'm around 380-390 rwhp now. Can't make up my mind - LOL.

Tyler,

Yeah, it's a such a huge event, saw a bunch of cars but didn't run in to their owners. I saw Raf had his Formula out also.

Dave,

Yeah I know what your saying, the extra power would be nice, but seeing as you don't really take the car to the track or street race, some what hard to justify tearing apart a good running set up.

That's what I was thinking.

Gonna shut this project down.

no worries brother, i understand when it is your first time back and out at an event like this.... there are a lot of old familiar faces saying hello EVERYWHERE.

Part of the enjoyment of that meat is getting to catch up with everybody! Always a great time... hopefully catch you at the next one.

Yup, that would work out for me too, except that when she sleeps in, it's generally to 11 or noon. She deserves it though, plus that's more time with me and the boy

Yeah, with the Houston street scene kinda dead, these meets are the only way you really run in to people any more.

HAHA - I know what you mean. I love taking my 4 year old son with me to the shows and it's great to get to spend time with him one on one since I don't see him much during the work week. It's hell getting him up, but once he's going he has a blast.

Good thing Starbucks has chocolate donuts

The next one will be Saturday the 4th. If you want to keep up to date on Houston C&C, they have a facebook page and you can add them to get the latest information and pictures. Also, I typically organize a small meet up outside the meet to cruize/park into the show together as to the Southside, post up message and I'm sure you will find lots of guys cruising in. Unfortunately, it looks as if I won't be able to make this upcoming one as I will likely be in Canada on business.

All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:19 AM.
