Heard they were closing, but that was a year or two ago. I wonder why IHRA moved the bracket finals to Shreveport this year?

It's closed down.

 

The owner told us at the end of the year that he was closing down.

 

This is sad news!!!Track hasn't even been open a long time and it was a nice track. Love 1/4 mile tracks. That only leaves Ennis.

 

Sucks to see all that money spent to throw it away. I have never seen a track that had a concrete pit area.

 

I really hope someone else opens it this year..

So did I miss something nothing on the site says "closed for good"... Just says "CLOSED FOR HOLIDAYS ( SEE YOU’LL NEXT YEAR 2012"

 

I heard it closed down and never got bought. Sucks looks like I'll be headed to Houston for my 1/4 mile hits. Denton is great for ironing out things at the 1/8th then move on. Ennis will instantly kick me out for not passing tech

 

I'm driving by tomorrow to see if any signs are up.

If it's closed for good I'm done... I can't go to Ennis for the same reason.

 

Sounds like a trip to Houston is in order. Better conditions and tracks anyway....+ lots of good strip clubs

I drove by Dallas Raceway today and they had people working on the track so maybe it's on for one more year.

 

If it's closed I will most likely set my car up for more hwy use. I don't care to drive to Houston just for one pass. Same with Ennis. I won't cage my street car.

Just have to wait and see. Hopefully Dallas Raceway can get it figured out and get on track. Tired of hearing rumours about it shutting down. Either shut it down or squash the rumours.
