The manufactures for the 2013 season get more leeway for the body design. It was about time NASCAR did something to improve looks of the cookie cutter cars. Ford hit a homerun with the Fusion. Damn, it looks good. Where's the new Impala GM? Sorry, the Nationwide Series is getting the Camaro, not the Cup Series.

I thought the previous iterations of NASCAR had the shape that they did because function predicated form and it all the designs boiled down to one homogenous shape.

IMHO, the nationwide cars look better. Though that is definitely and improvement for Ford over the previous Fusion Sprint car.
