buy heads or have ls1 heads ported?

Default buy heads or have ls1 heads ported?

ok guys, im looking to get some extra ponies with my tax return. just have a question, and we are talking best bang for the buck. should i get a new/used set of heads or get my stockers ported? im a total n00b so im trying to get my knowledge up. thanks in advance guys!!!!

Get some 243 n p&p n get em milled if you like.

do you have a cam? i didnt see one listed in your sig , but i would think cam before the heads, everyone is going to tell you to get some 243s,799sthey flow the best, honest it really depends on your budget , texas speed has some pretty good deals on there prc heads, AI does great work if you wanted to get your stockers done, let us know what your budget is and we could give ya some better ideas

Well the cam is happening. I figured I'd do them at the same time. And I'm looking to spend maybe about 1000 on in. Maybe a little more if I can get some money saved up before my tax return comes in.

depends on what you want, and what your looking form i would send them to ai, give them a call, see what they say, then i would compare prices

Your not gonna do a head & cam for under a thousand. Go ahead and get a good cAm with the stock heads and start saving for heads. A cam swap alone is in the $700 area without install.
