VRX4 Cam and boost?
Have this up on the forced induction sections and not one reply. So here's my deal..
I currently have an 04 5.7liter GTO motor. It has a vrx4 cam, patriot stg 3 heads, arp head bolts, arp main studs, arp rod bolts. On top I have a GMPP single plane intake, Aaron's elbow, f.a.s.t 92mm big mouth tb and under drive pulley. All of this is going into a 95 silverado rcsb. This will be backed with a TDP stg3 t56 and a diamond stg 3 clutch. I currently have the stg2 clutch but will be moving up to the stg3. I have an sts rearmount turbo kit that I will be using for parts only. It Has a bigger intercooler than what it comes with. I'm thinking of a 76mm turbo? I really don't want to pull the cam, will it be ok? Also, what about the 76mm turbo? What brand? I currently have a new walbro 255, will that suffice? What size injectors? I'm currently using green tops 42lbs. Any input would be great, I mainly have concerns on the cam. Thanks all.

If the motor is out, swapping cams wouldnt take more then 30 min's to do.
fuel pump and injectors will carry you safely to around 6XXhp. what compression is the motor?
go to the FI section and start reading.....

N/a, the motor did 465 rwhp with a fast 90/90. I'm looking to get about 650-700hp. As far as compression goes, it has new stock mls head gaskets, the stg3 heads are meant for the 4" bore motors. So I'm assuming the compression is lower than stock. I have been reading in the forced induction section but i can't just copy someone else's setup. Most of the forced induction builds are on fbodies, my truck is heavier, bigger wheels bigger gearing etc. cam can be pulled I was just hoping to use it. It'll be up for sale or trade here pretty soon. Also, I'm thinking of calling injector connections and see if they can set me up with either 60 or 80lbers. What do you guys think of a turbo brand? And size?
