Next event will be a full mile. Say Goodbye to the Texas Mile, folks. Talked for about 15 minutes with Hennessey on the phone today. This runway is active, no transitions like Beeville(if you have ever run it).

Can't wait to get the party started at 7:30am on Saturday morning. If you're late, you will miss the faster cars running in the morning. Good job to Hennessey for stepping up, making it happen and allowing us to run early.

Guys, I will continue to run at and support the Texas Mile. They put on a great event. We just hope to be able to offer another good place to run our cars and bikes.

I know about the weather disclaimer, but how is your crew going to handle this, John? Looks like the weather is supposed to break later in the day. Are the track officials going to hang out until it does, and let the guys that spent the extra money get to run first in the evening if it does clear up, and let the rest run after? I just hope that it is not like drag racing at the tracks, where the sign of rain closes a track for the entire night, when a lot of times, it blows over half way through the scheduled race night and the track is dry.

Quoted directly from the Aeros & Autos Facebook page;

"Well the forecast is terrible. We will hope and pray that it is wrong. We will be having the event rain or shine. I know not much of an event if it is raining. We just can't reschedule the airport for additional closures. So everyone say a little pray to have the weather pass through early and give us a beutiful day on Saturday."

Oh well. You can run anytime on the 225 feeder side by side for free. It might only cost you a trip to jail LOL. There is a nice section better then any runway.
