Default Assistance with rear axle swap in DFW?

I have ordered an S60 (and drive shaft) to replace my 10-bolt. Now, who to do the swap? I would do the work but don't have the space or all of the equipment needed. I can have a shop do it but are there any private installers that want to tackle it? Or a shop that would work with me on it? I live in North Dallas, BTW.

Might try Jason at Texas Drivetrain Performance(TDP) in Ft. Worth.

That would be the answer if I were rebuilding or assembling it. I don't really want to haul everything to Ft Worth for a swap though.

i did my 12-bolt swap myself in my garage. it was a royal PITA to do myself... having a 2nd person would have made everything much easier/faster.

not sure how a 60 differs from a 12-bolt... but do you already have your axle bearings and brake backing plates/brackets installed? on the 12-bolt, you had to get the bearings pressed onto the axles after you slipped the brake backing plates on.

i'd offer to let you do the install at my house... but i'm also on the other side of the planet from you

Yes, I ordered it with the backing plates installed so it will be fully assembled. It should be a bolt-in installation.

It's a little noisy but otherwise OK. I had the gears changed to 3.73 about 3 years ago. I am ready to quit worring about breaking it.
