Has anyone else been stopped for no front plate, and then also given a ticket? I thought it was not a fineable offense according to other threads, so does anyone actually know or had this happen?

 

Ive been pulled over twice with no plate but for other stuff never said anything about my plates though fwiw

 

i was pulled over for no front plate and teh cop told me to take care of it. i refuse

 

the Z28 I just bought doesn't have the front plate, its sitting in the windshield. I haven't been stopped yet and hope I dont. there were a few people who mounted it on the air dam lip under the front bumper and got away with it.

 

States you have to have front plate, I will look and see if it stated the foremost end of the vehicle.

 

I haven't been pulled over for mine but my wife has... lol She told him it was her husbands car the officer said just have him put it on and told her to go.

 

I've been pulled over a few times for it actually but only by state troopers. Given a ticket once. This was when I had my RAM srt-10. Have never had an issue with my van "trailblazer SS"

^^This too for me. I've actually been pulled over 3 times. Just bad luck, twice within 5 mins of each other for the same thing. Initially it was for other stuff but one peek at the front and it was over. 3 days later, again, this time for the license plate and got a ticket for it as well. Definitely a fineable offense. Any thread that states otherwise is BS. Trans Am with front license plate =
