If you move to Grand Prairie, there are very nice areas around 20 and south of 20 on beltline. You can also look in Arlington.

grand prairie is nicer on the southside like by joe pool lake.
its really close to arlington(cowboy stadium, texas rangers, six flags, the highlands shopping center is pretty cool, arlington improv, tcc college is around the corner ft worth is right around the corner(20 mins) downtown dallas is also 20 mins away.
mansfield is a nice place to go theres alot of country setting south of gp but close enough to make the drive to work. if your a snob move to north dallas

A lot of new development in Mansfield and midlothian area. About half hour to grand prairie and downtown Dallas. Arlington is close by there also, but to conjested to me. Cedar hill and duncanville are average at best. Seem to be going downhill.

Good luck, hope you get the job!

I grew up in Grand Prairie. What a shithole of a city. Cops are ********, city is falling apart, and there isn't highway access to get you out of the city without traffic. Once 161 is complete (never going to be finished), it may get better. I moved out of GP in 2001 and I have never looked back. I'm in the HEB area now and its great. Police are known to be johnny on the spot with upholding the law but are far more personable than the GP cops. Whatever you do, do not live in GP! lol
