I pay $105 a month for full coverage on 2 cars (2008 G8 & 2004 Quest) and liability on my daughter's car (1992 Lumina), so you're getting shafted by progressive.

wow, seems high.. how many miles a year is that based on? My '66 is insured for 25K, and it cost me $207 this year ..

sorry they quoted that High .. Grundy might have a better price. I used Hagerty instead of Grundy when I insured the '66 back in 2008 because Grundy couldn't do anything online back then, and it took 3 weeks to get the policy in place. I would hope that has changed with them.

I said 500 miles. They then said there is not a limit to their mileage. I would think they would have ran my credit or something though?

This has me thinking....

I have everything through USAA, and the one thing that i loved about them is they said they would cover some of the extra work as long as I have reciepts to prove the value. Now, I am not sure about this today as my car has been in "storage mode" as well. My car is almost done and may have me calling another insurance company if USAA doesn't pan out.
Also, I will say USAA has been amazing to me. Prompt response and very well organized. I had a hail claim on my 545i with no issues and no raise in premium. USAA has also been the cheapest for me as well.

Let us know how Grundy works out for you. I may be down this path soon as well.

Again... American Collectors insurance. I have worked in insurance for 20 years and i am currently an insurance underwriter. You wont find cheaper coverage for what you need.

Good timing in this- USAA has a collector policy option through American General insurance. I called USAA and was transferred to them.

I got a price of 1050 a year for the 69 t/a clone (25k), 79 TATA (25k), 79 TA (5k), 94 25th TA (10k), 97 WS6 (10k), and 02 Firehawk (20k).

All are agreed value policies and you are allowed pleasure drives which means you take it out cause you want to. I did have to prove that I had another car to drive daily.

Thats what I got, I got $30K on the camaro and $25K on the z06.. Pay $777 for the year for both.

Read the terms tho...

I did a quick quote through American Collectors... $394. I put mileage at 500, but it automatically made it 2500. Not a bad price, but is the coverage legit?

I still need to check into Grundy, but I don't see it getting cheaper than American Collectors.

American General matched my coverage with USAA. USAA has a lot to lose if they recommended a shady company.

USAA is a great company but I would never, ever buy another house through them. My neighbor said the same thing.

Im sure the value of the G8 and the Quest sure top a 02 ta and a beater $1500 Eclipse. I think 90 bucks a month is actually pretty cheap. And when the policy expires in July, it should drop a little also, so I will end up paying like 80 bucks a month.
