I've put my 95 Z in a ditch before getting caught in the rain on some Nitto 315/35/17's... it was an interesting ride from on to off the highway without using the exit ramp.... then again it wasn't supposed to rain either..

yep, I have gone 90+ a in down pour with the C5Z06, no issues. Those tires inspire confidence! I have my firestone store tracking down a new set for the C5Z06, my old ones are getting down to wear bars. I just wish they made them in 315 for my rear 17X11 inch wheels, would throw them on the f-body in heart beat.

I ran BFG KD, Falken RT615, Federal 595, Nitto 555R, Nitto NT05, the stock GY, and the crappy Kumho 712 over the years. All were stock 275/40-17 except the NT05 was 315/35-17. Never had an issue with wet roads unless the treads were near the wear bars. This was a car that had enough power to get squirrley when dry too 408/M6.
A light foot on the gas and brakes makes a huge difference in adverse conditions, but some tires just don't cut it on some cars. Rear geometry can make a difference too. Do you have an adj PHB or LCA's?

Hell it has hardly rained here for the last seven years. Now suddenly we gotta learn to drive in it!
Motorcycle racer Doug Polen told us in the pits, back when he was an up-and-comer in the early 80's running WERA & CRRC club races at Texas World Speedway [I was running in 600cc Cafe], that he ran the bike in the rain as often as possible to improve skills. He said he had an RD that he screwed the tires to the rims [like drag slicks] and rode around Houston with flats!

Running 315's with nitto's out back. Drives fine in the rain, but does seem like it's ready to come out from under me at any moment but I just slow down under the speed limit when it's raining hard. If there is just water and no heavy rain I'm good at the speed limit.
