This is just me, but the ZL1's whole track approach grabs my attention more than the GT500. I'm sure the Shelby puts up respectable numbers on the track, but obviously is not more track capable. The Shelby is just pure speed competitive with super cars at fractions of what they cost. 3.5 seconds is better than a Z06 and plenty of Vipers as well as the Ford GT i'm sure! That is great, as well as the 202 mph top speed. The ZL1 has respectable numbers, yet still weighs two tons nearly. I find the ZL1 to have the exact opposite goal compared to the GT500, that is an amazing handling package in a muscle car. To me, it is also a happy medium of both types of racing and that is what I see as more appealing.
