Our car show scene started to die after every state in the union began making it a felony after the fast and furious came out and every dipshit in a honda that had the power of my lawn mower started having accidents "street racing" and killing other people.
Then the media go involved and they further killed our midnight runs down to mexico and canada. Evil street racers killing everyone with their fast cars.
You want something dead let it catch the watchful eye of the government and it's screwed.

What Jose is talking about is th scene. Yeah people till get together and maybe bullshit and race some. But the nights of being able to go out to a meet and talk **** to random people get in a few races with a car that you didn't know. That's the kinda **** that was fun.
But like everyone said already. I'd rather go out get Drunk and bullshit with random drunk chicks. Than stand around in a parking lot listening to some idiot with a 10 year old fbody ramble on about bullshit. While we both sober. Lol

You guys need to check out http://www.houston-f-body.org. We are a growing club where all generations and models of Firebirds, Trans Ams, and Camaros are welcome.
We provide a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere for all F-Body owners and enthusiasts where knowledge and assistance are freely and openly shared. With our growing membership, we intend to remain current and relevant on the local car club scene.
We meet regularly on the third Saturday of each month at Texadelphia on Westheimer Road from 2 pm to 5 pm. Additionally, we schedule at least one other special event per month with an emphasis on variety.
Our next meet is this Saturday. Come on out and take a look -- this could very well be what y'all are missing!

It's mostly a family gathering. The Kemah cops patrol and keep the punk/ricers out of there. Still lots off old cool cars.

Need a good local grude site. most of the obvious meets seem to get less intresting when you pull up and its 85% full size pick up trucks. i cant say much because i dont have anything worthy of racing at the moment but i remember the late weeknight meets which was damn near strictly business that the more mature folks with faster cars attended back when shiftslow/rowboat was popular.
