got my GTA repainted
I finally got around to getting the whole car repainted. Replaced the spoiler with a fiberglass one, had all the wheels refinished when I put new tires on a few weeks ago, and also had the headliner redone.
here are a couple pics, as well as links to the whole albums (both regular grade, and also some from a higher res camera). note: i took pics from all angles of the car with it having the sun at different angles, and have not yet removed the bad ones, so there are like 130.

car was painted by a guy i know through the local 3rd gen club, and his father. they did the body and prep work at his work garage. and rented a paint booth to spray it.
the car had all kinds of body damage, hail damage, and surface rust. i had pretty reasonable expectations, being that it was a 'side job', but as i was saving so much money (about half what the cheapest shop wanted), i was willing to take the risk. they met or exceeded my expectations in almost all areas. and they went above and beyond, doing some things that a 'real' body shop wouldn't have.

here's the before pics of the bad side. they fixed the rear quarter. no cutting metal. and it was worse than this picture looks. the picture is actually a 'good' angle for hiding the extent of the damage. there was also 51 hail dents, and surface rust (on the other side) from being a massachusetts car.

Problem with threads like this is it makes your mind wander- I just spent 20 min looking for the last third gen I would like to own- 87 formula 350 hardtop in yellow with lower stripe package.
