Default More cubes or Procharge?

In 2009 I blew my stock 5.7 in my 02 Z-28. The only motor I could afford was a 5.3, so I now have a cammed 5.3 in there. I think that motor would be awesome for boost, however I am torn between getting a bigger cube motor or just putting a procharger on it. I have purchased all the parts to upgrade the suspension, including a 12 bolt rearend, and k member. Pricewise they are about the same. This is basicly a streetcar that might see the track once in awhile, but not my DD. Any advice would be helpful

X2 with the truck manifold turbo kit. Cost u just about the same as a new procharger kit an you'll make more power.

I just put brand new Kooks headers on it. I'm not a big fan of turbos.

Prochargers are fairly easy. Not as difficult as a standard type supercharger but more difficult than typical bolt-on upgrades.

Hardware and injectors are easy since its all up front or on top. The wiring can get tricky depending on what engine management you go with. Just be sure you have plenty of fuel flowing to feed it!

Boost. There are a dedicated few who sell their ls1 motors and break even with a 5.3 and a turbo kit. Very easy way to hit 500hp for free basically

I think with a procharger I would really have alot of fun with that car the 5.3 spins up fast and has good power for what it is. change a few things like put an aluminum flywheel, better clutch and a FAST 92. Plus, I wouldn't be losing any drivabilty.

I would skip the fast manifold. No real point in one when others have gone faster with a stock ls6. I hear ya on trying to build a car while over seas, have fun out there!

Procharger, hands down. Will get a lot more looks than a turbo, gotta love that whistle, especially with a deep exhaust and lopey camshaft.
