Both sides are in the wrong here. To the OP always try to post up pertinent info, brand of headers, even size helps, pics maybe, what you see that is burnt etc.

Its hard to diagnose something with no info, I could tell you a lot by opening the hood. You dont have to jack it up to do a quick look over. Also, try to use basic grammar. Just capitals and simple punctuation and you wont get jumped on. I dont proofread like Im turning in a project, but at least to the point its easy to understand, phone or not.

To the rest of tech, lead by example, act mature and new members will too. You are just as much a part of the problem as he is.

only thing that could catch fire on that side would be starter wires or O2 wires. i'm willing to bet your extension for your 02's were laying on the header.

also as an FYI, with open headers that air will get to your 02's your computer will freak and it will dump fuel and you'll foul your plugs.

There is also a wire that runs down the shock tower to the ABS sensor plug in. Mine was laying on my header after installing 1 7/8 ARH. It didnt take but a couple mins when we were watching for issues to start smoking and it was already through the wire loom. Idk if it woulda caught fire but possible.
