We have a 2010 2500 crew cab short bed 4x4. The truck has a 12 inch lift on 40x15.50-20's and 4.88 gears. We have a K&n intake and Dpf delete and programmer. We average 17mpg on hwy 70-75 and pulling a loaded 14K lb trailer we get right at 10.5-11 mpg. Also we keep our H&S programmer on the lowest setting with power added.

Your point is? Half a million miles isnt many miles on a real diesel. The light duty guys started that crap. My old big cam Cummins got its first inframe at over 2,000,000 miles. Still ran fine, just had alot of blow-by.
I hate automatics, so I know nothing and care even less about them. I know the guys at Val-Air, so a good clutch is easy.

the 6.7 is a light duty engine...as is the duramax just in case your big cam cummins got in the way of seeing that.

I agree that the 6.7 is light duty. But, the 5.9 Cummins was originaly an equipment engine, and designed for heavy duty use.

Ive had two dmax for work. An 07 3500 and a 11 3500. Both stock. And both very overworked. They do have same problems every other truck will have. And dodge is getting the exhaust fluid stuff next year. Ive run across cat scales weighing 33,780 lbs with my 11 3500HD single tire. The ford dash is different giving more interior room up front. Dodge gives more cab options. Only aftermarket on my truck is 5100. Bilstein shocks. Ive got about 56,000 now on my 11.
