If you sell the 5.0 and get the 2010 GT500...you will start running into the 2013 GT500s.

Since you have the 5.0 paid off, keep that one. Save for a couple years...then turn the 5.0 into a daily and pick yourself up a slight used 2013 GT500.

With the '13s coming out, the old GT500s value will start to tank. Just like want happened to my CTS-V when the 09+ Vs came out and what will happen to the C6 Vette when the C7 hits the showrooms. It happens to every mass produced car when the next generation comes out.

Have you seen what the C7 has been rumored to look like? A quick google search will show you. If it looks anything like the rendering from Jalopnik, depreciation for the C6 will be very low, very slow, or both.

To the OP, I wouldnt go for the GT500, especially since your GT is paid off. Even though it's only a 9k difference assuming you get your full value for the GT, a car payment still sucks and could be $$$ better spent on something else. If you really want a GT500, I'd rather get the aluminum block and it would definitely put you in different company. Dont see to many GT500's. On the other hand, everyone and their mom's daughter's uncle's friend's dog has a GT.

I think i bought mine for less than that new also depends on your options. OP if you are considering a shelby wait a year and get a used 2013 if not mod the 5.0. Mine is a dd so it is stock right now, but this may change in the near future.
