So...
New MAF was ordered last weekend. Finally shipped on Tuesday, delivered Friday... except freaking FedEx left it at the Leasing Office and the Manager signed off on it. Cool (I thought) except she didn't put it in my mail box, and the offices are closed until Monday. So wtf.
I would've been better off with her NOT signing for it and FedEx attempting to deliver again today.

Pretty pissed.

Got my MAF today after work.
Finally.

Had a good laugh about it though...

Thankfully shipping was free...lol.

It's raining way too hard right now to install and test though.

Installed MAF this morning. Took 30 minutes to get the car (idling) up to operating temp. Few light free revs and no stumbling or turning off. Looks like this fixed it. When I first installed the MAF the car was kinda coughing on itself. I went ahead and cleared all codes as I let the engine warm up. I guess as it read the new sensor's readings and made adjustments, it fixed itself.

Probably pissed off all the neighbors though. lol. People walking by were like WTF are you doing?! As I stood there watching my car idle.

Also, side note- noticed a little smoke/steam (not sure) coming off of what looked to be the exhaust manifolds. I'm hoping it was just moisture since everything is pretty saturated around here from yesterday, and the morning dew was heavy. It seemed to disappear after the engine reached operating temp.

New MAF from Autozone is marked at $137.99, with only the option to ship to your home. The Reman'd MAF is a little cheaper and available in most locations.

I opted for the new unit since it has a lifetime warranty, while the reman'd unit only came with a year warranty.

Also, they were offering free shipping on orders over $75. There's also a promotion going on if you spend $100, they'll send you a $15 gift card.

A quick google search found me a coupon code for 20% off my order, which negated the gift card promo, but was still a better deal in the end. Got the new unit shipped for less than the reman'd unit would've cost me.

What car is giving you trouble? Mine is the 3.8L, so it was literally 2 phillips screws to replace. This was the only part I installed. Hopefully it'll be the last for awhile.

Autozone.com
If you look at your air lid, just before the throttle body you'll see a black square-ish piece. 2 Screws holding it in place.

Pretty much in the center of that pic, between the accordion tubing for the intake and the TB.

The accordion tubing is stock... the other section is a Fernco coupler.
I cleared the codes with a handheld code reader. Similar to what parts stores have, but mine is more compact.
