I am in the same boat as OP (looking for an engine builder in the DFW that is experienced with LSX stuff, is within budget and can be reached after he has your parts & money) and came across these names and was wondering if I could get some feedback on experiences with them.

Day Custom Engine good engine builders, nice guys and they build motors for some of the others engine shops in Dallas but they want say who. But need to catch them soon they are moving.

daycustomengines.com, they are currently looking over my heads. friends have got work done there before. from what i have heard they are pretty good came recommended. guys there are knowledgable, they are fairly priced. just keep in contact

I went with Morgan and Son. Couldnt be happier. Great service and very fast turn a round.

Build your own so you know it's done right this time. Double check all clearences, balance it and use the best bearings this time around. That's my suggestion. The fact that it is yours you'll take the extra time and effort it takes to make double sure it is all done correct.

Wells Racing in Duncanville built my NO2 370. I was very happy, and would recommend him to anybody. Also Kim Barr in Garland is LSX to the bone. Thats my 2 cents.
