Default camaro or trans am

I'm trying to get into the v8 scene. I'm looking for input and opinions. I'm trying to decide do I want a 4th Gen camaro or a 4th Gen T/A. What are the pros cons of both, what should I expect to pay, what should I look for? Any help will do. (If this is in the wrong place I apologize, I do live in Texas is why I finally stuck it here)

It really all depends on which look you like better. I personally like the interior on the trans am better.

A Camaro looks like it could kick your ***, a Trans Am looks like its coming to do it.

The Camaro is a little lighter and a bit more spartan.

The TA's interior is nicer.

You can't go wrong with either one, they are both the best bang for the buck hotrods around.

Ive owned 3 TAs and 2 Camaros.
Interior- TA hands down.
Exterior-TA, but SS Camaros are NEARLY as sexy in their own badass way.
Performance- I will actually nod towards the Camaro. ONLY bc of what was stated above. These cars are often more "spartan" and therefor, lighter.

Personally, Im a TA man. But it HAS TO BE a WS6 car. Not a Formula or base TA(no offense guys!). TAs are just sexy. Every time I see one I tell my fiancee to "look at that ***!". Sexy. Like a poor man's Vette!

Yeah probably not the best idea on here you're going to get so many answers going both ways. It's all in your own preference don't let someone influence you differently than the way you feel.

Go TA if you like a more agressive "boy racer" look, Camaro for something more subdued.

I'm sure that'll get someone's panties in a knot.
I prefer Camaros. No pop up headlights to fix, plus the ugly plastic cowling is covered by the hood. I agree the Poncho interior and stereo is nicer, but I'm not big on all the orangish red lighting though. They both rattle, get the sail panel bubbles and are full of plastic interior pieces.
Plus with a Camaro you get the cool catfish styling.

They both are really nice cars. The camaro has that clean, sleek look. The TA has that powerful, mean appearance.

Between the 2 i would opt for the T/A..definitely has to be a WS6. But the only thing i hate are the flip up headlights.

Wow, thanks Ppl for the input, I'm still undecided but swaying towards the t/a only because the first car I fell in love with was my fathers 77 royal blue t/a and plus I've owned 2 Pontiac's so I'm used to the plastic interior. As said in my intro thread I'm green, so what is "Spartan" in terms to these cars and what makes the ws6 so b.a.

Between the Camaro SS and T/A WS6 it's really close, but a black on black T/A still gets my vote

That rear end and the nose on the T/A Just looks aggressive, and like stated earlier the Camaro is more subtle and sleek.
