I just use a stock water pump. For what the electric ones cost versus the power gain realized, I hardly see how it's worth it.

If you're set on a Meziere, there was a guy on here a while back trying to sell a couple of new ones at a discounted price in the tx classifieds

Preferably an OEM one, but if that's too much pretty anything will work.

Get the duralast pump, its fine and will save a few bucks. I have used duralast for small and mid-ticket items. For major $$$ parts, AC Delco or better! Their parts are much better now than say....10 years ago

Durlast will be just fine. And the lifetime warranty should cover it if it ever goes bad again. No need to go all out with AC Delco, or something, if you don't want to.

When it comes to electrical stuff (starters, alternators etc.), at least I will nowadays stay away from Duralast or any other off brand. Had too many issues with some of those in the last few years.

just throwing this out there but if your starter goes bad, whichever manufacturer you go with, id recommend getting one from a truck. the mount is beefier which will eliminate or at least minimize the chance of your starter taking your block/engine with it.

and if your alternator goes bad, id recommend heading to the junk yard and getting a AD244, 145 amp, kg3 option alt off of a silverado/tahoe/suburban/escalade.

Well I noticed the leak yesterday while doing my oil change . I drove the car today for about 10-15 miles so I could get a better look at the leak and see if it's actually coming from the weep hole... But it didn't leak at all .. Nothing on the floor or the block..

Is it normal for the pump to stop leaking or am I looking at another issue??

A leak is a leak, they just don't stop on their own. Best way to find a leak is by pressurizing the system.
