Yes Patrick, you got it... It was a toss up between the Z06 and the Hawk... I have a car cover for it... I should have built this house with a 3 car garage. Currenty have te heads off of the SS, taking them to get cleaned up perhaps port matched to the intake ( which is LT4 btw)...It's gonna be a slow process.. Once i get the SS running, it will be the "outside car"... The Hawk is out there temporarily. Some pics, thanks for the kind words.

Best part is that i only paid $1800 CASH for it... The guy started out at $4K.... I was like nah,,, then $2500.... then he bought a 72 split bumper Camaro Z28 and his wife was pissed... I backed out because i was going to invest that money in my Z06, or my Firehawk... the dude was late on his Mortgage which was $1800... He pleaded w me to come and get it... So, there you have it.... a 1997 30th Anniv SS.... w grey leather ( 30th Anniv etched in seats) Think i am going to make it into a true Anniv SS with HO stripe kit... and add some white SS wheels, get nose repainted all white w orange bowtie...

Or... should i leave as is...? Your thoughts? I don't see alot of these on the HWY... Also has the SLP SS brochure signed by David Hamburger blah blah blah.....

Whats up with the aftermarket LS1 SS spoiler? And red badges? Or are they orange? White shoulda came with silver badges unless it is a actual 30th Ann LE car.

If you really tried to make it look identical to the Anniv SS, you would need to get the all white leather seats etc. To big of a pain IMO. I would keep it as is Matt. That car, lowered on some TT2s would look ridiculous ( I know on here they're played out, but still one of my personal favorites and look damn clean on LT1 cars).

Always a ney sayer in the group... Love it! I have all of the documentation for the car.. It is an SS... who knows,,, perhaps the original owner changed badging because they liked red...? the spoiler is NOT aftermarket...

Thanks for all of the comments... Even yours 0Christiano...

Yeah Patrick i saw where the Houndstoooth interior is $799.... I like the gray leather w 30th Anniv etched in the headrest, rear seat. I may look into some TT2's.... for now, i am putting it back stock other than long tubes, and a cat back, CME.... Will keep posted.

Even with the Red/Black SS badges... I think @ $1800 i got a good deal...
