Less than 36 hours til we head down!

If anyone is looking to roll around with some 10 - 12 second street cars lemme know. I went alone last year and know what it's like to not know anyone down there, so, our group is open to anyone who needs some company.

 

I'll be with a few other cars, what time/when are you guys leaving from college station (TWS track event) and heading to houston?

Our group is leaving Dallas by 11am on Thursday.

 

looks like I'll be going for the first time with a friend. unfortunately, I can't leave till friday night/sat morning. is there anything else going on sat/sun besides the drag racing? was really hoping to make the night meet but I can't get off work in time.

 

So not going to have my vette for the friday night meet but still wanted to go out there and look around etc... any ideas if they are turning around non-racecars Would hate to drive out there and be turned around.

 

My guess is they won't be letting in d-bags, trailer trash, or any general sketchiness.

I think you'll be fine without a race car for the friday night meet.

 

Oh oh oh me me me. I'll probably end up running in to one or two people I don't know, especially people from the DFW area, but otherwise just me. I lived in the DFW area up until a few months ago, so we may actually have some mutual friends.

I just got all my nitrous bottles filled, 10 gallons of c14, and the bike all washed up. Charging the Gopros and watching the clock count down the hours lol!

 

I will be around the Omni tonight. Should have the car there tomorrow night.

 

It will b my first time out, off this Friday and was gonna head out to Sealy during the day to check out the cars and says dyno will be up and running. I just picked up a stock 2010 V2 and would like to get a baseline pull.
Guess my main question is it worth going out and taking my son for the Friday activities? What goes on during the day? I know all the good stuff happens later haha.

Friday during the day its Dyno Day which pretty cool for the first few hours and walk around and see the cars and watch a few +1000hp make pulls on the dyno.

 

I mentioned college station cuz TWS is right outside the town. But I'm guessing by your post you guys don't intend on going to the track event on thursday. (it's part of TX2k13, alot of people forget)

 

TX2K isn't really some random car show to just be dyno'ing stock stuff. There are hundreds of serious HP cars there that would rather see dyno time.

If your son is 21+ then it'd be a good time for him friday night.

 

Thanks for info, yes I know it not for stock cars, been reading and keeping track of it for last several years, just didn't want to get out there and not have much to do.
I fully understand what it is trully about was more interested if my son almost 12 would get tk see some BA cars being Friday. Not sure how late we will stay but sounds like we are gonna make it there.
I have met a very few people from this site. Will be out in a black v2 checking it out.
Come up and say Hi if you see me and the son around. He is into the cars of course he thinks my V2 is fast he just doesn't know.

 

Saturday would be the best day since you can actually see cars racing.

 

I am undergoing chemo treatments on fridays so usually my weekends are not good for me. But will c how I am doing Satuday. Thanks. From what I have read and the vids they are definetly some awesome cars at this event.

 

 

So me and my buddies wanna come out Friday night but is this like an actual meet and is there enough parking for everyone? And they chose who gets in? I've never been to tx 2k but everyone says its gonna suck this year
