This is great example of airbags and safety equipment interfering with natural selection to produce a dumber gene pool.

Unbelievable! We need to introduce this guy to the kid who flipped the SRT 10 truck while doing a burnout, their videos together would be fun to watch!

I give ford one thing the truck is done but had you done that to a late model 4x4 chevy the complete front suspension would be folded underneath the tailgate and completely undrivable.

I've seen some of the stuff the oil field guys have drug into the shop after trying dumb **** like that with the new chevy's and they look like the fall guy was done with them.

Yeah, but Chevy doesn't sell a truck advertised to go out and race, jump, etc either. This isn't the first round of problems for Ford with the Raptor having problems doing what it is advertised to do. Obviously this guy went beyond what Ford had intended, but I would expect the Ford to do better than any off the shelf Chevy product. This truck has a ton of extra work done to it so it can jump and such.

The Raptor frame is the same frame used in the F150, Ford decided that frame was tough enough for the Raptor. The biggest difference would be the suspension i.e. longer arms, longer half shafts, longer steering rods, longer rear axle, longer axle shafts and travel they provide vs a regular F150, doubt it would have made much of difference with this jump.

There have been quite a few guys that have caused frame damage doing a lot less than this guy. Though I was amazed to see the gap between the bed of the truck and the cab stay even!

I guess if it was mine I'd be putting a frame under it and a few new suspension parts. Frames are amazingly cheap to buy new from gm or ford it's the labor that kills the deal but if you are doing it yourself in a shop at your leisure they are really affordable vehicles to buy and put back together if they haven't suffered a ton of body damage.

Exactly my point. There is a hole in the frame where a standard F150 bump stop is mounted. Terrible design. They should have the frame beefed up and air bumps to soften the blow when it bottoms out. While it is marketed as such, there are many instances of the trucks ford took around to TV shows having frame damage, but they tried to hide with camera angles. For that much $$$, I would expect a beefed up frame. The frame is what all these upgraded suspension components rely on.

Yeah...a lot of the raptor guys are adding brace/gusset kits to rear part of the frame. My Boss has a 2011, so far no issues, however he really bought for pimp factor, not offroading.

with king bumpstops!

something like the above system is a must for these trucks if they are going to be used at all for their intended purposes.
