Linky, check 8th entry
How the hell did the ZL1 beat the Z06 by over a full second? It's SIGNIFICANTLY heavier and less aerodynamic.

Drivetrain loss has nothing to do with the factory rating at the crank. More likely due to different intake/exhaust set-ups.

Or maybe they're just continuing the trend of rating the Camaro lower than the Corvette despite an equivalent engine?

absolutely, that ZL1 time was done by a Aaron Link (chevy badass test driver/engineer), C&D was 5 seconds slower in the ZL1...I believe the C6Z was back in 05, track surface would have changed some, and it was driven by a magazine editor. The 2011 C6Z06 Z07 package turned a 2:53 around VIR.

does nobody else see 3rd gen styling cues. taillights that wrap around, and sunken back headlights. either way, this car is a far cry better than current 5th gen, can't wait to get my hands on some of those wheels!!!!

I think it's just you. The headlights are pretty much the same as the years before.

I'm sure swapping in HIDs, fog lights, and the HUD shouldn't be too hard.

Wonder how CC brakes work for street use?

I seen this car in person.. It is all business. Makes the Zl1 look childish. The stance/wheel tire/break combo is insane in person. Pictures do not do this car justice.

I am not a fan of the rear. Reminds me of a Honda Prelude and or Acura Integra.

I liked the 5th gens till now. I think this update has killed the looks of it. This thing will go down in history the same way the 74-77 camaro did. Just ugly! On the other hand i can say the dodge challenger now looks the best out of the 3.

I like this new 5th gen in every way better than the current 5th gen. Especially the tail lights. Those are the lights they should have come with, they are reminiscent to the 1969 Camaro, which the body is based on.
