True Duals and Emissions

Who, here in Texas, has True duals and is in an emissions county? If you do, what set up do you have and are you running it all the way out back or do you have it dumped?

I'd really like to dump my exhaust after some bullet mufflers but I don't think that passes standards. I want my car to pass legally- no paying off people or finding shady testers lol

Looking to revisit my exhaust setup and just checking out my options. It's been awhile since I've been in the game of modding :/ finally have time and funds though so let the fun begin!

Well, I just had my Kooks TD setup put on a couple of weeks ago, has the HF cats on it. As far as I know it's all legal, but I could be wrong.

that is a nice looking set up! how much did that cost ya if you don't mind me asking? mufflers- I see 'em but what kind are they?

As long as it has cats, mufflers, and o2 sensors it should pass a visual inspection. Not sure what year the tailpipe sniffer comes into play but if you have all the above you should be good there too.

Kooks complete exhaust, headers all the way to the tips. I had the headers done 3 years ago and they were around 1200, the TD system with the DSL and PBRK was 1825. A lot of money, I know, but worth it as far as I'm concerned. The sound is unreal, to say the least.

Living in Texas some people that do the emissions could care less. lol I live in Chambers County and emissions arent strict at all IMO

I've seen people run 2 pipes over the axle. Another more expensive option I have considered in the future would be to get oval tubing, which is the same diameter as round tubing just a different shape, and run that all the way through and to the back. Reason being it would eliminate clearance issues on a lowered car. I've had an x pipe before and it's hard as hell getting over pretty much anything. There is a company that sells the oval tubing piece by piece and even the turns and x section.
