Default What is wrong with gmpartsdirect

ok so I ordered a head gasket from these guys on the thursday the 26th, I emailed them on tuesday the 30th because of course you cant call them and asked why my part wasnt shipped yet. The response was it wouldnt ship till thursday the 2nd, seriously it takes a week to ship so im like ok just cancel the order and refund me ill spend the extra 15 bux and buy one at autozone. They email me back saying the dont do refunds on head gaskets because they are special order. Well it finally shipped tonight and wont be here till the thursday the 9th WTF. The tiny discount they offer is not worth a 2 week fudgin wait so now im not going to have my motor back together before my spinal surgery monday.

Seriously screw those guys I will nvr order from them again, so not worth the wait for 15 bux plus they charged me 13 bux for shipping and its still taking a week to get to me ups tracker says box is 1.9 lbs how the hell is a single head gasket weigh that much.

sorry for the rant just annoyed

I'm dealing with an issue with them myself. This has been ongoing for the past few months. Their customer service is absolutely ridiculous. I ordered an upper valance panel for my vette, and they never shipped it. I emailed them 3 times with no response. Only when i threatened to call amex to cancel the charge did I get a response. I'm definitely using partstaxi from now on.

I use shopgmparts.com and they have cheap prices and fast shipping. GM parts direct had slow shipping years ago and they haven't changed.

GMpartshouse is the only one of those places I would use, they are a sponsor on corvette forums (not sure on status here) and have real people picking up the phones. They sent out the wrong door seal for my C5, corrected the mistake on their dime (sent new part and call tag for old wrong one), as they should have.

I'm in the same boat...I recently ordered and realized after the fact that they marked everything as special order and therefore 7-10days before its shipped and non-returnable. Lesson learned.

I've dealt with them in the past, they never screwed up my order, but shipping was expensive and **** slow delivery.

I've avoided them for years. Next time, get your gaskets from the dealer. They're not as expensive as you might think.

I've had the local dealer match GMpartsDirect prices before.
