HUH?? And you realize the 4.7x car has an F3 blower on it right, you think that blower is just gonna fall off too? Just by thinking mid 4's is an 8/9 second 1/4 your argument is invalid. Low 6's = mid 9's, mid 5's = mid/high 8's, low 5's = high 7's, low 8's in the 1/4, give or take depending on setup.

I shift my 496 at 7500 and it pulls for quite some time. Maybe a run of the mill big block. Look up some of Steve Morris builds with big blocks and F3s. They are working on a 68 camaro that ran a 6.8x in the quarter and has more in it. It will be in the next drag week

Like others have said, these are not your run of the mill old school truck big blocks. These are high revving stroked, procharged, heavy nitrous etc. rides. I have seen guys run 4.9s in the 1/8 mile at 3200 lbs and let off at the 1/8 and coast through the 1/4 traps at high 7s.Trust me, if you run 4 anything in the 1/8 mile you could not go any slower than a 8.0 - 8.1 something if you run it out the back door. (and that is being conservative)

Sure looks like a big *** turbo on the front of it

Seriously, did someone hack your account? I don't understand how you are asking these kinds of questions having been around the scene at least 10 years... You do realize that from a cutout hole in a grill or front bumper a procharger and turbo pretty much look identical right?

Not to mention from what I've seen, high power turbo imports like the supra you posted, while SOME make it work great going down the track, rarely do good on the street, they seem very inconsistent on unprepped surfaces. Seen plenty 8 second at the track legitimate streetcar imports have trouble with high 9-mid 10 domestics that work well on the street.

Street cars or street raced cars? Not too many full on racecars running around on the streets around here, too much heat, but there are several 8-9 second streetcars I can think of off the top of my head, not many near the 7 second range as far as I know that consistently gets down on the street. The first 2 that come to mind in the 8 second range are the Oddball ranger running low 8's, if he hasn't cracked a 7.xx yet, and Duy's 240sx, although Duy's car is definitely not an 8 second car on the street, it has the potential to get there with some fine tuning, as it has already seen plenty of 8 second passes at the track.
