Emissions test

Trying to sell a T/A to a fellow tech member, only issue is he is in Houston where they require an emissions test, my county does not. Anybody know anyway to get this resolved? Maybe someone know someone who can get it done under the table before I drive 10hrs? Thanks.

as long as its not throwing any codes, most places dont visually verify

What this guy said, plus you can have 1 or 2 not ready codes depending on the year of the car. Most people delete the EGR and AIR codes, so thats your 2 codes. Now if you have the rear 02's deleted plus the other stuff then you may have a problem. But there are ways around to getting a sticker put on your car...

I've had shops charge under $100 to tune all the codes put so it will pass emissions..

He WAS getting a loan for car and said bank needed proof it would pass county emissions. But no worries, car back for sale.

they were probably asking for a green sheet in order to get the car registered but I have never had a bank ask me for that before giving a loan... sounds like he was trying to get a freebie and in my opinion it is his responsibility to take care of that
