A newer scam?
Have not sold anything on CL in a while as far as a entire vehicle. I want cash in hand, but just got this earlier after just posting it maybe a hour or two before:
No one in their right mind buys a car without more details and what not. But, what is the scandal on this? They give you money and then say the "item" was never received and then get the money back? Im sure there is some loop hole or something? Anyway, i usually figure out the scam, but not 100% on this one.
Wasnt sure weather to lead the scammer on for the hell of it or what, but didnt feel like wasting time n the A hole.
Thoughts on what kind of BS this guy is pulling?

Op I sell and buy all the time n CL and this is obviously 100% scam, I still don't know the loop hole or what not as far as trying to get your money but I do know it's a way to get your name, address and email in which they use to sell to companies. - that's all I got.

This happens to me all the time. Once you know they beg you to sign up for paypal for weird reasons thats always a red flag for me. They typically say they are in the military and cannot come look at the car but will send funds through paypal. Bunch of BS.

Pretty sure it's a scam. At some point after they send you the paypal payment, they'll ask you to send money to their "agent" or something like that (because maybe they overpaid). Then after you send the money they cancel the paypal payment. A person would have to be borderline retarded to fall for such a scam. But they are counting on that 1 out of 10,000 to make their day.

Nothing new with that. A scam is a scam. I'm deleting those messages as they come.
I've entertained a couple for a bit, but when I ask them for their credit card #, expiration date and CVV code, they suddenly stop responding.
