where to buy engine blocks? Howdy all,
New to this whole ls-based thing, but looking to build a monster.
Anyway, where are ya'll buying blocks from? Is lkq really the only option? Looking for a gen iii lq4 block (and possibly crank)

tell me about it, i keep seeing these "$300-400 complete junk motor builds" and i can never find one remotely close to that haha
ahh i see well blueprint makes some good monster motors just off the top of my head. How ever you can always get a iron block from texas speed, summit, jegs as well either way good luck and im definitely gonna keep an eye on this thread you never know if some up and coming drag shop might start posting there line of lsx based motors in here.

i was at 510 racing the other day they had 2 complete 5.3s they were using for budget turbo builds. they said they could get more for $500. ive seen so many guys taking a junkyard 5.3 and a cheap turbo making 1000+ hp kinda makes me wanna do it.
