I have the Contour GPS and like it. Only downside is needing a laptop to see if you're recording exactly where you want it at. I like having 2 different recording options that you set within the software. You can pick different resolutions and picture settings. I don't use the GPS as it would seem silly to use when driving down a 1/8th track. 
I'm sure the GoPro can do everything the Contour can do too.
Can the GoPro record in 1080p/60fps? One thing I wished my Contour could do.
