Everybody troll the **** down!
I have a vibration I'm not happy about after swapping in a C5 diff using a custom bracket but I checked it out and nothing's "wrong", it's just transmitting more NVH than I'd like. So I just need to go do some test hits ala Street Outlaws. So it won't be long.

C6Z's making 580-600 rwhp only trap in the mid-130s, typically.
143 mph = nitrous pass. It is a fast car, no doubt. But please don't believe the BS.
#106
The BS is you and the other trolling a thread that had nothing to do with them. Unless you or the haters want to run now, if not shut your pie hole! J/S you cry and say I'm not good enough to run but Kevin has to much for you! March is a long way off and I have nothing but time!
When him and l ran l was on a nitrous tune with a 35~ HP loss from the new upgrades that did not work out as planed. The track run was @ 604 rwhp

This is true..
There are some guys in the New England area going 137 mph in bolt on Z06's... But they are set up extremely well, driven very well and in -1200' DA..... Not the norm.... I could definitely see a head/cam/exhaust C6Z trapping 140 mph+ with a good driver in good air.
Hell I have buddies that have cars that are setup correctly that run 140-142 mph with 750 CRANK HP at 3600lbs.... Its all in the setup and how track oriented the car is..
Most street cars don't even remotely match that level of efficiency...I know neither of mine do...
For Hellraiser to trap 143 mph NA is pretty damn impressive... That's a 153-155mph car on a 200 shot on a clean pass.

Then tell me you were wrong

First off, thanks for the Invite from Eric lancaster and Rodney at RPM transmissions. This year we went with a different camshaft from Brian Tooley Racing, and its really liking the nitrous! Heres a quick rundown of the mod list.

Bad *** cars
MIR was great and want to shout out to Gary and RobZ for organizing and to D-rod for the sweet hotel choice.
I was able to get a few decent runs in and run very close to my estimate.(actually a little better)
The track was awesome and I did manage a couple of 60's that I never thought possible in a NA heads/cam car! RPM did the A4 conversion and that thing was flawless! When it hooked up it left like a rocket!
1.22-60' !!!!!!!! another was a 1.23. I made 2 passes that were 9.46s with identical 5.97-1/8 mile times. I hoped to break 140 mph and got close a few times with 139.93 mph. This car drives very nice on the street and is very docile until you get with it.
here are a few pics

Mid-130s at 619 rwhp. I'm not sure if you realize this, but 9 mph difference in trap speed is a lot of power difference.

Quit making excuses for losing. And stop with the BS about trapping 143 on motor. You forget that some of us owned C6Z's that made around 600 rwhp like you claim yours did. Here is what my own car trapped with 619 rwhp.

A couple of guys I know went from boosted mustangs to c6 z
And they both goin high 130s and low 140s with similar power to you.
One is a d1 on 5.5 lbs and one is a head cam intake car.
And like I said mine with cam and milled heads trapped 132 with 2 broken pistons.
I pulled apart motor to change valves springs and seals and realized that my smoking issue and lack of performance was my pistons were broke above the top rings

blackonblacksls,
Good job at scouring the net to find the best examples on the planet for Z06 drag racing. Here is a hint, hellraiser isn't in that group. Please refer to orange Z06 dragging him, which was making about 530? rwhp at the time, and trapping low 130s at the time.
If he truly trapped 143 on motor, there would be bozos searching the net and posting links about his accomplishments to prove other people wrong on other car forums. He'd be a recognized internet hero racer by now.
Nope.

The only one here making excuses is YOU and why YOU will not line up with me now! Your the one with the excuse not to line up with Kevin. So troll down l don't have to prove **** to you or anyone else that don't believe me! Just because you cannot do it doesn't mean someone else cannot do it! You been on Hellraiser's every post but don't want to do anything about it!

Like a chihuahua running around in a pack of rottweilers, trying to bark the loudest.
It is easier to just tell the truth, broski. You sprayed that 143 run. Your POF engine doesn't make enough power to trap 143 on motor alone. Not everyone is that naive here. I was probably running 10s NA when you were riding your huffy.

LOL!
Well... I stand corrected.... Jared's car is a freak of nature..... That is definitely not the norm... especially a full weight Z06.... Watch that vid you posted.... How many other Z06s you see leaving that like? LOL...
Good job on finding the unicorn...
Normally, I'd agree with Tony on the rwhp typically needed to run X mph at X weight..... But I have seen quite a few NA cars that run/trap way better then what they should for the rwhp they produce....albeit weight or power application...
I could see 143 mph at 3100lbs race weight with 650 rwhp maybe......
Most average, full weight C5/C6s at 3500lbs raceweight need 750 rwhp to run 140-142 mph.
Weight is a big deal.... I went 9.96@149 mph at around 840 rwhp which is pretty shitty mph for 840rwhp. Dynoed at G Force the week before the track trip. This was at 3535lbs... I'm a pretty terrible driver though lifting completely on every shift.
Either Hellraiser's car makes more then what I would guess a 440" would make (600-625 rwhp) or that car is well under 3300lb raceweight.....that if it ran 143 NA anyway.
Troll out...
BTW I'll be at the TI Rental on the 26th if anyone wants to compare slips.

ajrothm,
I'm not saying some things aren't possible. I'm just saying hellraiser doesn't have the resources or the skills to do the impossible. Please refer to orange Z06 dragging him with cam-only. Here is that same orange Z06 a month ago, after ported heads installed. Still didn't run 143. Mid-130s again. Just sticking to the facts, not BS.
And, I'll line up with you at the TSS drag day. I'll be there too.
Hellraiser chihuahua ankle-biter, I'm trying to arrange a date with mullet this weekend. Higher priorities, I suppose.

To break 140 mph, a head/cam Z06 either makes more then 650-700rwhp or some serious weight reduction.
I would think a 440" "could" trap 140+ if everything is right but.... that's typically not the case... The video doesn't lie... Bronco gave him fits...
Most cars, especially power adder cars, never run the mph to show their "dyno" hp.... Cars making 1000rwhp should trap 160 mph.... Most I see are lucky to break 150...
I recently ran mine with my "840rwhp" tune up, but this time with an automatic and about +200lbs, and I trapped 145-146 mph but was blowing driving thru the converter too much.. 11.5% slip. Having a new converter built now... I'm hoping to trap 150mph at "840rwhp-M6" at a heavy 3600+lbs now at the TI rental. If it does, it still wont match the efficiency of the other cars posted in this thread...

ajrothm, we are on the same page.
This conversation could be a whole lot shorter if Chihuahellraiser would just man up and admit he sprayed on that pass. Still an impressive run, and a fast car.
I thought I was feeling some dejavu, like we had this conversation before here. I was right, nearly identical conversation and BS claims over 2 yrs ago, in 2011.

Most of us even called bullshit on it back then, too. What else happened in 2011? Hellraiser got drug dirty by a 4x4 truck. Ouch.
