I Disagree. They are going to be present at anything with this many hot rods in one spot with a bunch of ppl who get caught up in the whole racing scene and do stuff they probably wouldn't if they thought a little clearer. Got to be smart and pick your times and spots to run. I saw a lot of the oposite last year.

There are tons of racing going on in other places besides the freeway. Alot of small groups scattered all over the city will be doing work. Goto the Omni, and just ask around where the action is taking place. Get in with the right crowd and your garaunteed to get a piece.

I will say this. If your car is running, and runs GOOD...then you better take that income tax check, load the car on the trailer, take a week off work and bring it down. Get a room with some buddies. If you dont, then it will be 1 year of wishing you would have.

Yup, of your into it and you have something that'll run, you will be wishing every minute you brought it.

I love when I'm headed down 45, every year on the Friday of the weekend it happens, I'm passing or being passed by supras, LS powered cars and all the other guys headed south to I10. Usually I go west on beltway 8 to 10 and they go 45 to 10 because they aren't from around here.

You should deff come out even if you don't have a car. I haven't had a race car in 2 years and rent 5-600 hp cars every time to get a little action in. Even if you are in the slow bunch still lots of good runs and the smell of race gas on the freeway lol.

Never know what you run across that weekend. I lined up with an out-of-state (1,100awhp) GTR and he was kind enough to show me wassup. Literally next light, some local GTR that didn't know he can't brake boost in stock form LOL

Just thought of those girls at the gas station...
"Why did you bring your own gas to the gas station?"
and
"Why is his gas blue but your's is clear? Does it, like, make hp or something?" lol
