Ive got almost almost 3000 miles on rebuild and no issues till a few days ago after about 7 miles pressure dropped to about 25psi bounces and ticks at idle with throttle it goes back to normal. I got to school another mile down the road car sat for about 5 hrs, I started it up and no issues then right before I got home it started acting up again

Don't run it anymore. Pretty close to the same thing that happened to me. Kept running it to "test" it and spun 2 mains with 500 miles on rebuild. You drain the oil yet?

New oil pump? Was it shimmed correctly? Also my bro had a "tick" in his truck once. Tore down the engine. Did a cam/head swap new valve train. Still had the "tick" after. It was a bad 200k header gasket. Word of advise don't guess and start changing parts or "hoping" for the best. Do research and trouble shoot.
