Default 95 Firehawk speedline wheels

Hey guys I've got a set of Speedline wheels from my old man's 95 Firehawk and I'm just curious as to what they are actually worth. Every once in a while I see some of the ROH Firehawk wheels come up for sale but I really haven't seen the speedlines from the Firehawk very often. The set I have is in decent shape...not perfect but not aweful. There is a little curb rash. There is a little of the paint peeling but nothing too crazy. Center caps are in good shape but I also have a brand new set of center caps never installed to go with them. Tires are no good.

So what would you guys pay for these? What do you think they're actually worth? I'll get some better pics up but for now I've included a pic of them on the car for those of you who may not recall what they look like. I wanted to see if it's even worth it. If people are only willing to pay $300 I'll just keep them but if they are worth a fair amount to someone I have no problem selling them.

Zach

I have seen some fetch about 400-475$ on here before with trash tires. Curb rash is killer though for getting what they are worth. If they have to be PC'd or professionally re-painted/chromed its looking more like you would be better off keeping them.

Zach-attack,

Those wheels are rare as hell, every once in a while you'll see one or a pair for sale, but never a complete set. The problem is unless you're looking for them for a Firehawk, your suspicion is right, most guys won't pay much for them, not more than a set of ZR1 wheels. There was a Lingenfelter 94 25th T/A with those powder coated white, looked killer.

Hey Neil,

Yeah the more I think about it the more I think I will throw them on my 90 formula. Bet there's not many of those around with speedlines. Lol. Btw I just finished my T56 swap in the car...pure badass.

These wheels aren't all that rare as they were on 01-02 WS6 cars as well, and are far from the most desirable wheel.

Different finish though, the Firehawks and Comp T/As had them in a silver standard. Like the 96 WS6 wheels were all silver, 97+ polished, then the CETAs had the same wheel in black. The finish is whats makes them rare.

Not exactly. Finish was different as well as the center caps. And have you seen the prices of the WS6 speedline wheels? What I have is more rare. Doesn't really matter though I've decided to keep them for my thirdgen.

Lol, yeah it needs a little more go power but it's got plenty of suspension goodies, all the normal stuff minus some subframe connectors. I still never got any pics of the car but after I put the wheels on I'll see if I can't get something taken. It's a nice car. Has 160k on the clock but looks like it has about 60k. For a bone stock car though it runs pretty damn good.

I bought a spare set of these on trashed tires for 250-300; can't remember.

I am pretty sure these are wider than the WS6 wheels by 1/2 inch.

I have chrome ones on my 95 Hawk. Very cool wheels. Ant interest in selling your spare caps?

Yeah man I'd sell the spares. They are still in good shape I just ran across a new set and bought them. Pm me a reasonable offer and we can talk.

If anything I'd say the silver painted version is less desirable in most people's eyes. Sure, they are more uncommon, but that doesn't mean they're more desirable (they would be to the right person though, if they were specifically looking for that wheel)

Same thing with the centercaps. Sure, they're rare, but there's a lot of uncommon centercaps for 4th gens. If you want a rare wheel, look for a 16" Firehawk wheel off of a 4th Gen convertible, or even the one-year only N66 (I think that's the correct RPO code?) salad shooter TA wheels. http://www.marshu.com/images-website...ooter-rims.jpg

As far as the prices for the 01-02 WS6 wheels, I usually see people asking $500-600 (or about $150-200 for a single rim on fleabay) or so for a set, and then sitting on them for quite some time usually. Sure, you get the dreamers asking $800-1,000 for a set, but nobody's going to buy those.

The thinner spoke Firehawk wheels off the later cars are the most popular firehawk wheel. I'd even put the 96-00 WS6 wheel ahead of the particular style in question, and those are pretty common.

All just my .02 of course.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion...mine is that I like the silver painted version much better than the polished version...then again I'm not a fan of chrome either. In any case I decided to use them and they look awesome on a 1990 Formula. Much better than the stock wheels.
