When are you planning on making the trip, Austin usually has different events depending on the dates

I know the lone star round up will be the first weekend of april

Late March, sadly I will be in my CRV, so no cruises for me

Plus, no one wants to see my shitwagon.

I would refrain from that hotel of choice. I work 2 minutes from it and its not the nicest of areas. Whats your budget?

EDIT: as an alternative... see if you can book here... http://www.austinmotel.com/ Ive been wanting to do a weekend with the wife there. Its about as downtown as you get with all the good **** (bars) within walking distance.

Habitat Hotel is a cool place, not walking distance from attractions though.
Pearl St Inn is a cool B&B near campus.

Under $200 a night. And closer to $150 as possible. I don't need to be super close. I don't mind driving a bit for a better room.

I would skip the bats. IMO, not really all that cool, plus sometimes they come out after the sun is down so you don't see anything.

When are you planning a trip? A meet might be worth looking into and the C&C in Austin I was informed is on the second Sunday of each month

I will be there close to the end of March. I may actually have to take my truck, trading a guy wheels, and don't think carrying them around in the CRV will be fun.

Trading the polished gmcs? What wheels are you getting if you don't mind me asking and throwing your topic off hand. I'm a big fan of the polished gmcs, that's what I put on my yukon

Truck looks slick btw, I would love to check it out

Too bad you aren't bringing a car. We have "activities" every weekend. If you want to check it out, PM me.
