differential My buddy just told me that you can build a 10 bolt with Moser axles and it'll stand up to 800rwhp because the housing is strong enough. I've constantly heard before, to never go over 500rwhp. What's the truth

im in need of a complete rear end. My axle bearings are roaring(not my gears). I decided to go ahead and work from back to front. looked on Summit, Jegs, Pace Performance, TSP, Ebay. I just cant seem to find a good deal. Im looking for the best setup for around $2000. I found a Moser 9 31 spline housing and axle kit on Summit for $1099.97 but still searching like crazy for the gears as this would total around $1700 im hoping. then I need to have a shop install cuz im always busy in the oilfield and live in an apartment.

A truck might have a 31 spline open rear for cheap.

Bigger housing can hold beefier parts and MORE FLUID TO KEEP COOL. If you throw junk parts and recycled fluid in a 9" it'll break too.

Lol, was going to joke about a 10 bolt taking abuse in great ways and mention the 8.5 but you already threw it out there.
I have broken a 7.5 with a stock TPI 350 with a carb conversion. But I've had them survive behind a build 383. Different gears was the key. 4.10s get too thin and the 2.73 sucks for dig racing but lasts the longest.
