Because Austin is 100x nicer than Houston IMO. Too damn humid. Nice to see the move, cool to have a vendor so close should make getting parts really fast now(as if 1 day ground shipping in Texas wasn't good enough)

Slow your roll there turbo. Your opinion sucks. JFWY Houston is already quite full of speed shops, great ones. the competition is probably less of a challenge in Austin. "It's too humid!"....Pussies

Would be even sweeter if TSP would start doing installs also.

Agree. I could drop my car off for couple days and just hang out with f/f since I've got plenty there. Only 3 hrs from houston.

Houston is generally thought of as a toilet where pieces of **** rob or kill you or attempt to do so on a far more frequent basis than Austin.

Everyone has their own option ^^^ but you do realize "Houston" is rather large and not all of it is like this. Didn't Austin just have that incident last month some idiot who should be put away for very long just run his car into a crown and kill several people. Very sad indeed but it seems that you think your little city is all perfect. Yes round rock is very nice, I've got alot of family there, but maybe you should get out more, just saying.

I highly doubt they are worried about competition. They've been doing just fine out in west Texas and built their company into one of the premier LS shops in the country. I'm sure it's more of a change of scenery and better opportunity to hire help. That being said, being in a larger populated area, they will pick up walk-in customers and have the opportunity to get into installs again. It's going to be a great move for them.

Crime happens everywhere, yes. I didn't say my city is nice, I said Houston is a toilet...based on my experiences (and my family and friends). Get out more? No way, it's bright and scary out there

I don't think they are worried either. Competition is taken into consideration for any wise business decision. I am not knocking Texas Speed at all. The more competition there is, the better it is for the consumers. I don't often use them but that could change at any time.

It's cool. I like sand. That's why I live on the coast. After I talked a little trash I was sure to say that I was kidding. I have been to most all of this great nation and most of it rocks. You said something very plainly against Houston and it didn't at all sound sarcastic nor did you state so. I apologize if I got or gave the wrong idea. I plan to visit Austin in the next couple of weeks just to enjoy the town and weather. Peace
