Need Help- 2002 Camaro SS Hello Fellow Texans!!
My black SS was in need of some paint correction after I paid a guy $150 to "correct" it. Long story short....I purchased a HF D/A polisher, Chemical Guys Hexlogic pads, M105/205, #7 Glaze, Chemical Guys V-Line also. I washed and clayed the car too. I started out using the M105 then 205. When I wiped the car down to prepare for Blacklight application, I notice SWIRL HEAVEN. The marks look like they came from compounding. I switched over to the Chemical Guys products with no success. I've tried every combination of pad/polish/compound/pressure/speed etc.. to no avail. My hood is horrible now. It is shiny to the max, but look at it at the right angle and you will see the destruction. Are there any local guys close to Richardson who could lend me a hand or take a look to see what I am doing? The odd thing about this, the rest of the car went as planned. The hood is just killing me!!

Did you use M105 + orange pad? Mark the head of the DA so you be sure you're not putting too much pressure and stopping the rotation. Swirls should be more or less gone after a few passes with M105, no reason to step to a lighter cut if they're still there after the M105.
