Where to get LS complete pull outs in Houston

Be careful with craigslist buys. I'm to the point where, unless it's a super score, that I just buy a complete donor. People have caught on that every noob in the world wants an LS for their drift car and sells them for a ton of money regardless of their actual condition. Buddy of mine bought a "40k" mile LS1 and after I recommend he tear it down found the cam bearings were spun and lifters effectively locked in the bore. It is now a coffee table. A longhorn orange painted $2000 coffee table.

local yard must have gotten internet or something. I was getting early gen3 5.3s for $600. must have bought a dozen or so. went back the other day and they want 1200 now. lol. gen 3 6.0s are like $2k. this dude seriosuly offered me a L92 for $5k. if a yard gives you a quote too high. call back in half an hour. some other dummy will answer and give you a different number. got $200 of a toyota four cylinder that way

If you go to a yard to pick it up, bring a brown friend that speaks Spanish. Every yard I went to gave me a white boy price. I remember one selling an unknown mileage 6.0 from a burned van for $2k. That price was if you had a 6.0 core. lmao...
I bought mine from a guy in Dallas off of the Texas classifieds. Turned out to be a great engine.
I wouldn't buy a stick of gum off of craigslist. Learned a $300 lesson a few months ago. **** that site

CL is not easy, but I scored my 98 TA and 02 SS off there a couple months ago. As well as many other parts. It is a small gamble some times. Been screwed over a couple times and I hate to say this and don't want to sound like I have some prejudice, but the Hispanics have always been the ones to burn me.
