Default In the market for a 4th gen

Ready to get something to have fun with. Looking for a driver, prefer an MN6, but auto with stall is good too. Some decent mod's would be nice too.

Preference is a Formula first, then T/A, then SS....not really looking for a Z/28, but might consider.

Let me know what's in Texas! Email is ok at turbows6@hotmail.com

There's a bunch of high mileage ones or highly overpriced ones. $10,000 for your 2000 Camaro with 120,000 miles? HAH!

http://austin.craigslist.org/cto/4986124166.html

Boom, 125 miles. Winning.

Got my 2002 SS for 6k with 148k miles. Love it. Couldn't be happier. All stock adult owned. Well, it was bone stock till I got ahold of it.

There are a **** load of cars in Craigslist for decent money right along side of the over priced ones. These motors are extremely tough and make great power in comparison to anything else for the money. If you want a WS6 or SS it is going to cost more. If you are truly looking for budget cars, buy Z28. If you want a really cheap POS buy a 4.6 2v Mustang.

Sorry. I wasn't really aiming that at you. Mostly all of the folks bitching about the price of these cars fluctuating. It happens. I just paid $7500 for a third gen with 99k miles and would again and again. The car is what I wanted. I have bought enough budget fixer uppers to know it is cheaper to buy a nice car. Of someone is asking to much for a car then thy will be looking at it for a while.

Holy ****, 7500? I've seen some pretty nice ones with less mileage go for that much.

That's what I'd pay for a fourth gen with 99k miles.

I want to find something that is ready to go, but I know every bolt on a 4th gen, and tinkering is half the fun when you get old and bored

Yes, so have I. I passed on several that were closer with less miles. I wanted a 91'-92', 350, TPI, hard top, auto in blue or maroon in great shape. This car was that exactly. It is nicer than a 50k miles car for sale not 10 miles from my house. It is what it is and people will pay what they pay. It is a opinion of what each example is worth. I wouldn't trade it for either of the cars you have with all my money back to boot. You like the cars you bought that's you bought them.

Understandable for you, but being a die hard third gen guy that has been through the ringer price wise, I go off what I see and not the desire of a particular make and model. Just all of them. And I hate to admit it, but after wrecking my 89 RS, it changed me. I just don't see them the way I used to or something. Maybe my soul got banged up in that crash, but I don't see too many third gens that I like anymore.

I looked at it like.... "More stock more better".

Usually means less abuse.

There's a 91 Z28 down the road from me that I know I can get for $3500-$4000. Clean, auto and red with around 130k if I remember right. I'm trying not to splurge. Lol
