c7 wreck at SAR

Anyone get any pics? I didn't get a chance. Happened in the shut down area. I heard he lost control while braking and hit the wall. Looked totalled. Pretty sure it was a z06.

It'd be even funnier if one of the insurance adjusters was out there and they denied insurance claim.

I would think there's no way insurance would pay any how, outside of pulling some out right fraud.

Corvettes must like hitting the wall at SAR, There was a C6 Z06 that hit the wall while we were racing, lucky me I was much slower and was able to avoid it with ease.

I would never take a car that nice to the track, for that very reason.

Nice thing about my 98 WS6 shitbox is if I total it at the track, it wouldn't bankrupt me.

Doubt it. It happened literally at the end of the track about a 1/2 mile from the starting line. The whole thing was pretty odd. I was actually watching the pass and didn't even notice the wreck. In fact I think they ran a couple more passes before the track officials even shut it down.

Some speculation was that the dude just stayed in it and ran it out the back door..... which is actually pretty funny.

Edit: It ran an 11.8 @ 123 btw
