Found a 1 owner 2000 WS6 w 156K mi ... That part doesn't deter me... The fact that it has sat in a garage for 1.5 yrs does. Great cond... black, dash is cracked
(NBD),,, But the fuel is probably water, sludge..... I am sure the seals are in bad shape.. there are no leaks under car and it has no battery... Would you attempt to start w that fuel? The owner says I can bring a battery out and attempt to start... What do you all think?

Hell no. Drain the fuel tank and oil before starting it.

I paid 6k for my 148k mile SS. No cracked dash and adult owned l, not abused. It needed a clutch but I had stock discs. Ended up with a LS7 clutch anyway.

The gas tank is full of varnish.... drain it and flush with clean gas. I flush with cheapest gas I can find, then drain and fill with good 93.

At a minimum, all of the fluids need to be checked and changed. Bet the A/C connections leak like hell too. Negotiating power IMO.

Pull the fuel line(from the intake) and let the pimp push it all out. Fill it up with 93 and go.

If the tank is pretty empty I would fill it up and roll with it. It has been in a garage so it is most likely fine. I put a hot battery in a 1986 Mustang that had been setting in a pasture for ten years, cranked that bitch and drove it in a trailer. If it gives you a fit, then you can pull the tank, etc.

Thanks for all of the feedback.... I have bought and sold numerous F bods and made HUGE profits. So I am not asking what I should offer,.... I have a number in my mind. I have not ran into this before ( car sitting for 1 yr) so I don't know what to expect.... I guess I could try and start it and if something F***s up I can walk away.... I ALWAYS change fluids, plugs, filters,PCV valves, etc when I pick up one of these Fbods... Thanks for your input. I appreciate it.

My wife's car sat in the garage for two years on the same tank of gas. It ran a little rough but after topping it off with 93 octane it was fine afterwards

You should check all fluids but overall you should be fine. I've started a car that sat for a year. Topped it off with fresh 93 and ran fine.

I would be concerned that at 156k miles and being parked for two years it's going to need more than dropping the tabk. I would low ball the crap out of it because it's probably going to need alot of other items

Yeah, as I said I am not too concerned about the mileage... I have been really lucky w the last couple of high mileage Fbodies that I have purchased, flipped.
Last flip was an 02 35th LE SS M6 w 155K... Paid $5K... cleaned it up, changed plugs, fluids, new tires and sold it for $9K... cash!

the oil in the TA was not burnt (black) and the trans fluid (A4) smelled fine and was pink.. It is a 1 owner car.. the dude is 40 and lives in a $400K home.. So, he's not some JA kid that beat the **** out of it... It was his DD from 00 to 2014... I shot him an offer... Christmas is coming up.. He may need money for his kids... He also has a 15 y/o son who wanted it BUT Dad was like hell no! His wife pulled in as I was negotiating with him and as soon as she got out of their SUV I was like, "Man, I cannot believe that he won't take $6K CASH for this old car",,, "I brought that much with me"
She gave him hell!!! lol..... I need another car like I need another hole in my head... But it's a sickness for me..... Love me some Fbod's....

Yeah no way i would just try to start it.. It would take all of 45 min to undue a fuel line and let the pump empty the tank and change the oil. sounds like you found a hell of a deal either way though.

Definitely dump that fuel, the hassle of dumping it outweighs the hassle that trying to run it through can cause.

Agreed! My father in law just let me have his 85 vette that was sitting in the garage since 2006. All I did was change the oil, drain the gas, and poured in some 93. It started right up with no hesitation at all just idled rough for a few minutes.
