Thank you gentlemen, I'm still counting hours that he has been gone. Has not gotten any easier yet. But my best friend is here from San Antonio and he actually was headed here before he even knew my dad was gone.

Man I am very sorry to hear that something like this happened to you. To anyone really. I'll be pulling for you and your family to come out the other end ok. Just take a day at a time and try not to get overwhelmed with it.

Thanks man. My bestie or whatever you would call him has been here from San Antonio all week. Really trying to focus on other stuff because it simply pisses me off to think about it.

Zone...
Words cannot even touch the loss of your father. All I can say to that is know that he is in a far better place. your step brother however WILL GET HIS in this world and the next. Coward does not even describe this POS and there is no hell hot enough for him! Like your Dad, I too am a Veteran, (Gulf War 90-91, OEF 05-06, OIF 08-09). I am sure that your dad was a good man and that he would want his TRUE SON to carry on and remember the good times and share those w his grand kids. I too know of death... This my friend will pass... FOCUS on them kids of yours and find yourself an outlet... Although we don't know each other personally, I have followed you on the forum from time to time... I wish you peace Bro.... Take care!

Thank you for the kind words. I'm not sure when it will get easier but I do try to think about the good times and using cars as a mental outlet so I don't fall in to a negative spiral.

I lost my father 5 years ago to cancer. The day I watched him draw his last breath was definitely the worst day of my life. Honestly (and I mean this with 100% sincerity) , Id rather get hit by bus traveling 100 mph than die of cancer, it' a TERRIBLE was to die.

But your situation is even different, being your brother is involved. Think outside the box bro, pray for him too, it works wonders on your soul.

I can watch Vipers, c7 Vette's etc go by without turning green because I can easily do the same if I decided pulled the trigger.

But the one thing that makes me turn green with envy is seeing someone with their elderly father having dinner somewhere. it's something I cannot ever have again...I'd give almost anything for just 1 day with my dad...

Sorry for your loss bro. My dad passed in an ugly way too and it left me with some bitterness. I do take comfort in knowing he's in a better place and if I keep my faith I'll see him again. Keep remembering the good times bro, you got to.

Again, thank you guys for taking a second of your life to share some kind words with me. Finally got the OK from the funeral home to set a date for the service. Have family from Florida that are coming that I have not seen in a life time. I hate the fact that it is something like this to get to see them.
