Family outing gone wrong!
Well the story starts like this. Sunday was my father in laws birthday, I tell my wife let's take the firehawk out for a cruise with the kiddos. She says ok, so I wash her up we get ready and head out. Father in law lives about 30 miles from us. Get to my father in laws, BBQ and eat, snapped a few pics.
After we eat my father in law says lets go take the kids to the park? Absolutely! Head to the park, fly some kites with the kiddos, let them play on the playground. Snap a few more pics on the way out.
All goes good we had back to our house. We get home around 7pm to this horrendous image.
Someone rear ends my turbo truck while its parked on the side of the road. No one sees what happened except a neighbor about 3 houses down. Tells me it was a white Buick lesabre. He told me hit it and just took off, he turned left on the first street and was gone. So I get in my other pickup and drive around the neighborhood. And guess what I find?!!
By this time I've called the police station twice. I got his plates, address where the car is at and picture. I picked up a couple of pieces to his headlight and put them in my truck. Well the cops show up and he admits to the hit and run. So now we will see what his insurance and mine say. I'm wondering if it will be totaled? I know now a days these trucks are real low in value and the damage I assume is around 2-3k at least.

Yeah it was like a 70yr old man! Sucks because the truck is a fully loaded single cab, power fold mirrors, steering wheel controls, I also have a set of full power seats both driver and passenger with heat and full wiring.

That's why I like my neighborhood. Couldn't hit any of my vehicles unless you pulled up the driveway. Probably 80 foot from the road to my fence and I park everything in the back.

Dude this exact same thing happened to me 2 weeks ago. Guy rear ended my 1990 formula in front of my house pushing it into my F350...Totalled my formula and tore the bumper on my truck up pretty good. Dude ran but the cops got him. Hopefully everything goes well man. I feel your pain.

Had the same thing happen to me when I lived in Spring. Some drunk shitbag hillbilly slammed into my old truck leaving dollar beer night at Big Texas and totaled it out. We found him at another bar just down the road picking up his girlfriend who was bartending there. Turns out it was her truck that he was driving when he hit mine.
Her insurance paid for it though. KBB was like $3500 and they sent me a check for $5500.

Pollo, come over here to Midland! A lot more calm on this side of the Petrolplex. I live in Legends Park on the west side, great time to be in this neighborhood. Bunch of restaurants coming in and the new HEB and Sam's Club are a mile away. Nice quiet little hood with lots of houses for sale right now.

Yes! I do like that area, my father in law lives in midland and we are there about 3 times a week. Once work picks up we will be looking at moving and are pretty sure we are moving to Midland.

Look on the bright side. At least you weren't in your truck with your Firehawk parked on the side of the road. I have had two vehicles hit while parked on the side of the road. One of them, I had to come out of pocket to pay for.

when I lived at my old house in Lewisville, I had 4 cars that were hit(different times) and run and only 1 guy was caught- he couldn't start his explorer-the fuel shut off - he wouldn't of gotten far - when wrecker hooked up they took the RF wheel/knuckle ect and put it in the back - it was detached! when neighbor got us up, we went out and he was cranking it over, stopped and got out and boy! was the mariachi music blaring when he opened the door! Siesta!
